About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time armed security officer to support a financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, responding professionally to situations, and providing customer service and communication. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at a rate of $29.40 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, ATM areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by site protocols.
Prepare accurate reports documenting observations, incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related events.
