About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for a retail location in Jacksonville, Florida. In this front desk and visitor registration role, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service. You will maintain a visible, professional presence, help deter security-related incidents, and communicate with employees, guests, management, and Allied Universal leadership. The role is scheduled for daytime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, at a pay rate of $16.15 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Supervisory experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Greet and direct visitors, verify access credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor records.
Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from a stationary front desk post, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
Communicate daily activities, incidents, and security-related concerns to site management, employees, and Allied Universal leadership.
