About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Milpitas, California. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up shifts at multiple sites and can vary their hours, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week.

The position pays $25.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM. The role involves customer service and security procedures, unarmed patrols of technology and telecommunications work areas and surrounding grounds, monitoring access points and site conditions, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports and shift communications.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology and telecommunications work areas, offices, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and site conditions, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, notify appropriate personnel, and document actions taken.
• Maintain clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
