About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Columbus, Ohio. The position provides a designated site and fixed weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, requiring a six-month commitment. The employee may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform and can build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Tuesday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $17.98 per hour.

The role involves customer service and security procedures at a facility, responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access, and observing package-handling and transportation operations. Applicants are subject to applicable background investigation and drug-screen requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local law; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and visitors, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual activity.
• Observe package-handling and transportation operations for security concerns and promptly report hazards, policy violations, or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
