About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Visibility in Cicero, Illinois. The position provides a designated site and recurring weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the scheduled shift, the employee may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform and may work across multiple sites. The role is intended for part-time employment, with the option to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $22.60 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

The Security Guard provides customer service at a financial institution, follows site security procedures and policies, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents and alarms, and documents and communicates security-related observations and concerns. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and may be subject to background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, lobbies, offices, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
