About The Position

As a Security Guard Visitor Reception in Decatur, Georgia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. You will greet visitors, manage facility access, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service while helping maintain an organized and welcoming environment. The role uses computer or tablet systems and requires clear communication with staff and guests. The position is full-time, with a pay rate of $16.90 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors at a government public health location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and appointments as required, and issue visitor credentials according to site procedures.
Monitor facility access, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests to appropriate departments or services.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established emergency response procedures.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, public health partners, and Allied Universal leadership about security concerns and unusual activity.
