About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a commercial real estate shopping center in Nottingham, Maryland. The officer will provide customer service to tenants and visitors while conducting vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity, and helping deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, following site-specific procedures, and completing reports and patrol logs.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license, subject to Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious activity, property concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs accurately and in accordance with company and site requirements.
