About The Position

In-N-Out Burger is hiring a full-time armed Security Guard to help maintain the safety and security of its Baldwin Park, California facility and grounds. The role includes monitoring the lobby, conducting foot patrols, monitoring cameras, understanding the alarm system and emergency procedures, and welcoming and screening visitors. The Security Guard investigates suspicious activity, secures the property after business hours, and contacts law enforcement or the fire department in emergencies. The position calls for sound judgment, reliability, professionalism, customer service, and teamwork. This hourly, non-exempt position is scheduled Friday through Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The employee must be flexible to work day, swing, and overnight shifts and be available on weekends and holidays. The pay range is $27.16–$31.25 per hour, with pay determined in part by experience and other job-related factors.

Requirements

Valid California Driver’s License.
Valid Guard Card.
California State Firearm Permit (Exposed Firearm Permit).
Security guard experience.
Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
Strong communication skills.
Reliability and ability to work without constant direct supervision.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
Physical ability to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods while monitoring surveillance equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

Prior military or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety and security of the Baldwin Park facility and grounds.
Operate and monitor the lobby, conduct foot patrols, monitor cameras, and understand the alarm system and emergency procedures.
Serve as a receptionist and greeter for facility visitors.
Screen and log visitors entering and exiting the complex.
Conduct routine surveillance and security patrols, and carry out protocol and contingency operations.
Contact law enforcement or the fire department in an emergency.
After business hours, check doors and windows to ensure the property is secure.
Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property.
Provide excellent customer service and remain friendly and professional.
Use good judgment in handling day-to-day operations.
Perform duties with pride and work cooperatively as part of a team.
