About The Position

As a Security Guard - Access Checkpoint in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location where you will manage access control, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly entry and exit points. You will monitor alarms and cameras, document activity, and perform routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry points and visitor screening processes, verify identification and/or credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access through gates, turnstiles, and loading areas, coordinate with reception and site contacts for entry approvals, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document security-related events, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Support a tech and media location by observing for unusual activity near studios, production areas, and sensitive workspaces, escalating concerns per post orders and maintaining a professional presence.
