As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will remain visible, perform routine observations, and provide strong customer service and communication that help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures at a logistics and distribution location, including supporting access control activities for employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check identification, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery access records in accordance with post procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations to appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related issues.
  • Assist with screening incoming traffic, coordinating with site contacts on access requests, and communicating directions and post expectations in a professional manner.
