Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal property using approved equipment and screening methods while following post orders and documented procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item findings, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observations through appropriate channels.
  • Verify identification, manage entry points, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with location policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter, as assigned, while monitoring for unusual activity and other security-related concerns.
