Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, processing deliveries, and documenting authorized movement of people, vehicles, and materials.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access records, and support site rules related to controlled areas, personal protective equipment requirements, and restricted chemical processing locations.
