About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Flex Officer for its Events Team at campus locations in San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View, California. The role focuses primarily on customer service in a concierge security setting, serving high-end clients and interacting with employees and visitors in fast-paced environments. Officers welcome and assist visitors, help manage access, patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and help protect people and property. Full-time, part-time, and flex shifts are available, but schedules may vary from week to week based on operational needs; fixed or guaranteed schedules are not available. Shifts may be day, swing, or overnight, and officers must be available any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have exceptional customer service skills.
• Have basic phone and computer skills.
• Have a state security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be willing and able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, and any shift (day, swing, or overnight) as operational needs require. Shifts may vary, and guaranteed or fixed schedules are not available.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, verify their identity, and guide them as needed.
• Manage access control.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify potential risks.
• Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Answer questions in person or by phone.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
