About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking Security Fire Guards for a commercial building in Midtown Manhattan. This full-time position serves and safeguards clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate. Guards respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Workdays are flexible Monday through Sunday. Available shifts are 8 a.m.–4 p.m. and 4 p.m.–12 a.m. The pay rate is $25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a valid New York State Guard Card.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Possess a valid F01 fire guard license or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
