About The Position
The Sisters of the Humility of Mary are currently seeking a responsible and dependable Security and Facilities Associate to help ensure the safety and security of our campus during evening and weekend hours. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe environment for all campus occupants while also responding to maintenance issues and emergencies as they arise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least three months of related experience or training
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently
- Strong commitment to safety
- Reliable
- Observant
- Comfortable handling both security and maintenance duties
Responsibilities
- Patrol the campus to monitor for safety concerns
- Check the operation of boilers and other equipment
- Lock and unlock buildings at scheduled times
- Respond promptly to calls for assistance
- Escort employees when needed
- Stoke a wood burner at the farm
- Clear snow and apply salt to walkways
- Perform routine chemical tests at the pool and water well
- Document any unusual incidents and report them to your supervisor
- Adhere to safety procedures and operational guidelines
