About The Position

This position will perform functions to maintain facilities owned and leased by the Clinic. This may include equipment or systems installation, facilities equipment repair, preventive maintenance, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, transportation functions, and other projects. The role also involves providing superior customer service and acting as an ambassador for White House Clinics, participating in team-based care, and maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures, including safety programs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of maintenance functions and standards, including safety and sanitation.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards to identify potential safety problems.
  • Skill in operating maintenance equipment and machines.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience working in facilities maintenance preferred.
  • HVAC certification as well as other certifications preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean exhaust intakes.
  • Clean outside windows and screens.
  • Perform groundskeeping tasks, as required: Mowing, Trimming, Mulching, Litter clean up, etc.
  • Empty outside trash receptacles.
  • Clear snow and ice from parking lot and sidewalks.
  • Assemble furniture.
  • Maintain light fixtures.
  • Perform routine HVAC system maintenance.
  • Maintain plumbing and electrical equipment/systems.
  • Sets up tables, tents, etc. for organizational and community outreach activities.
  • Destroy confidential material scheduled for discard.
  • Perform delivery and/or courier duties, as needed.
  • Clean and properly maintain White House Clinics vehicles.
  • Maintain the structural integrity, operational readiness and overall appearance of White House Clinic facilities.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients, external customers (visitors from other offices, hospital, community agencies, etc.), and co-workers.
  • Serves as an ambassador of the White House Clinics in all conversations and interactions with these parties.
  • Acknowledge that White House Clinics strive to be a patient-centered medical home and, as such, prescribe to team-based delivery of primary care services.
  • Recognizes that the completion of the above listed duties illustrates the employee's role in aforementioned team-based care and accepts responsibility for being an active member of the team, including identification of quality improvement opportunities.
  • Maintains personal compliance with all White House Clinic policies and procedures (OSHA, HIPAA, Standing Orders, etc.)
  • Assists with other duties or in other departments as instructed by supervisor.
  • Cooperate fully with all aspects of Corporate Compliance Plan.
  • Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
  • Perform tasks necessary to ensure the safety, health and welfare of facility occupants entrusted in your care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
