About The Position

ACTS-Aviation Security, Inc. is hiring Security Agents at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The company provides aviation security services, including catering, aircraft, and cargo screening. Security Agents inspect airline equipment for unauthorized items, screen cargo, monitor aircraft, wand passengers, guard gates, and observe unit activity and facility surroundings. Other duties may be assigned by management. The position reports to an Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager, depending on unit size, and activities are overseen by a Lead or Senior Lead. The listed pay is $32.65 per hour. Employees must complete an FBI fingerprint check for an SIDA badge and a 10-year background check (10 years listed; five years verified). Candidates must also undergo pre-employment drug screening, criminal checks, and/or airport fingerprinting. The role requires working in cold temperatures and nonstandard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must complete an FBI fingerprint check (SIDA badge) and a 10-year background check (10 years listed; five years verified).
Must not have been convicted of any FAA disqualifying crimes.
Ability to bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly to perform essential job functions.
Must be willing to work in cold temperatures.
Written and oral communication skills in English.
Must undergo pre-employment drug screening, criminal checks, and/or airport fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

Inspect airline equipment and check for unauthorized items.
Screen cargo using equipment or methods designated by the customer and according to customer specifications.
Perform aircraft monitoring, passenger wanding, and gate guarding according to customer specifications.
Observe and monitor unit activity and facility surroundings when not performing inspection or validation duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
