About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Account Manager to lead daily security operations at a shipping center. The Account Manager guides, develops, and motivates security officers and supervisors to provide effective service and help ensure the safety and well-being of the people and places they protect. The role manages staffing and scheduling, employee performance and payroll, client relationships, incident response, compliance, training, site standards, and inventory. Pay is $65,124 per year. The posting states that candidates need at least two years of security experience or prior law enforcement or military experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in business operations, security management, or supervising teams in a fast-paced environment; the overview also states at least two years of security experience or prior law enforcement or military experience is required.
• Experience leading, developing, and retaining a dynamic team while building positive client relationships.
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments, and law enforcement coordination.
• Ability to evaluate situations, make sound independent decisions, and resolve conflicts efficiently.
• Proficiency with web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees, manage multiple projects, and drive operational excellence.
• Financial acumen and the ability to manage staffing levels, minimize non-billed overtime, manage turnover costs, and control inventory costs through planning and organization.
• Valid driver's license if driving a company vehicle or a personal vehicle while conducting business.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in Business Administration or a law enforcement-related field.
• Law enforcement, military, contract or proprietary security services, or facility management experience.
• American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification.
• Previous payroll, billing, or scheduling experience.
• Aptitude with security systems, including CCTV, access control, and badge administration.
• Graduation from a certified public safety academy, such as law enforcement, firefighter/paramedic, or corrections officer training.

Responsibilities

• Manage security officer scheduling using AI-powered technology to meet client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime.
• Hire, coach, and manage security officers and supervisors; oversee payroll, performance, and employee relations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure high-quality service that protects people and property.
• Respond professionally to escalated security issues and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Oversee training, safety, and site operational standards.
• Manage inventory, including uniforms, equipment, and other essential supplies.
• Manage staffing levels, turnover costs, and inventory-related costs.
