About The Position

This position supports all Forging Cell production and performs assigned functions in Secondary Operations work centers. The role assists with Hammer setup, cleaning, material handling, and Impacter Helper duties. It handles raw materials; Annealing and Blast Cleaning processes; Work in Process and Finished Goods inventory; hot forming; Manual and Grabener Coining operations; and rework and disposition of nonconforming product. The operator is responsible for operating secondary operations equipment, inspecting parts and equipment, meeting productivity standards, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and supporting cell setup and training as needed. The position is scheduled for the second shift, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The hourly salary range is $21–$28. Requirements

Prior manufacturing work experience.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures in English.
Ability to operate a crane and forklift.

Responsibilities

Perform material handling duties as required.
Operate secondary operations equipment, including Annealing Furnaces and Blast Cleaning equipment.
Ensure the visual quality of secondary operations parts.
Meet and maintain productivity standards.
Work as a backup Impacter Helper performing trimming operations.
Assist Automated Forging Hammer and Impacter Operators with cell setup within changeover time standards.
Visually inspect assigned equipment before startup.
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly condition and maintain a safe work environment.
Operate a forklift and crane as required.
Make and exercise decisions as required in performing the job.
Assist in training backup personnel.
Perform other duties as required by supervision.
