About The Position

This role is responsible for operating secondary packaging machines, ensuring product quality, and supporting various company initiatives. The operator will be responsible for machine adjustments, material verification, and accurate documentation. The position requires a focus on safety, quality, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and USDA guidelines. The role also involves supporting Continuous Process Improvement (CPS) activities and training documentation.

Requirements

  • Safety is your #1 responsibility.
  • Know all Job Hazards within the SJ Room.
  • Operation of all machines used in Secondary Packaging.
  • Understand different types of product and bar code numbers.
  • Ability to distinguish good and bad product.
  • Cool work climate and requires repetitive work with your hands.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to complete paperwork.
  • Support CPS activities to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team participation, CSD, etc.
  • Follow all GMP’s and USDA guidelines.
  • Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Quality guidelines.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and sustaining (CSD) of training documentation for all team members.
  • Responsible for any other tasks/duties as directed by your Supervisor/Line Lead/Cell Lead.
  • SAP documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the usage of the correct packaging materials for product.
  • Distinguish good and bad product.
  • Complete paperwork.
  • Support CPS activities (Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team participation, CSD, etc.).
  • Follow all GMP’s and USDA guidelines.
  • Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Quality guidelines.
