About The Position

This role is responsible for the operation of all machines used in Secondary Packaging. The position requires understanding different types of product and bar code numbers, making adjustments to machines, and setting correct codes. A key responsibility is verifying the usage of correct packaging materials for product and distinguishing between good and bad product. The role involves working in a cool climate, performing repetitive hand tasks, and completing paperwork. Support for CPS activities such as Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, and Team participation is expected. Adherence to GMPs and USDA guidelines is mandatory. The position also involves SAP documentation and participating in the development and sustaining of training documentation.

Responsibilities

Know all Job Hazards within the SJ Room
Operation of all machines used in Secondary Packaging
Understand different types of product and bar code numbers
Make adjustments to machine and set correct codes
Verify the usage of the correct packaging materials for product
Ability to distinguish good and bad product
Ability to complete paperwork
Support CPS activities to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team participation, CSD, etc.
Follow all GMP’s and USDA guidelines
Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Quality guidelines
Participate in the development, implementation and sustaining (CSD) of training documentation for all team members.
Responsible for any other tasks/duties as directed by your Supervisor/Line Lead/Cell Lead
