About The Position

The Second Shift Lead, Senior Logistics Operations is responsible for day-to-day operations for a manufacturing warehouse on the second shift, including receiving, stocking, inventory management, shipping, kitting, and cycle counting. The role plans, develops, and improves warehouse processes and helps transition Zoox to a more production-ready company. The position also involves hiring, developing, managing, and mentoring the operations team, and ensuring safe, efficient, and timely material delivery to production.

Requirements

10 or more years of professional work experience in a product-based warehouse or logistics environment.
3 or more years of experience leading 7–10 direct reports.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Experience working with SAP; SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
Experience in automotive and/or manufacturing operations.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in an NPI environment.

Responsibilities

Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, kitting, and cycle counting.
Establish processes for operating and maintaining warehouse equipment in optimum condition, using KPIs to drive continuous improvement in cost, service, quality, and safety.
Work with other Team Leads and Program/Project Managers to keep teams aligned with Zoox’s overall goals.
Manage and mentor 7–10 direct reports to execute and deliver to Zoox’s standards.
Develop and implement safety guidelines to ensure team safety.
Execute second-shift warehouse operations to ensure on-time material delivery to production at efficient cost.
Track KPIs against budget and drive corrective actions when performance is off target.
Hire and develop the operations team.
