About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a Seasonal Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations during the holiday season at its Gary, Indiana location. The role helps maintain a productive and safe warehouse by unloading trailers, sorting packages by ZIP code, and loading trucks for delivery. Team members are expected to work carefully, follow safety protocols, keep their workspaces organized, and help packages reach their next destination safely and on time. No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided. The position is temporary and seasonal, running from October 27, 2026, to January 1, 2027. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, subject to eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed. The role pays $18.00, with weekly pay, and is eligible for overtime consistent with applicable law. There are multiple weekday and weekend shift patterns, with hours of 3:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. or until the sort is completed. Hours may vary according to business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
Must be able to meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
Must be able to repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting, including items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods and repeatedly bend, twist, reach, push, pull, squat, lift, and perform other physical tasks throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to work in varying warehouse temperatures, including heat and cold.
Must be able to work overtime when business needs require.
No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Unload trailers and sort packages by ZIP code.
Load trucks for delivery.
Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently throughout the shift.
Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
Keep the workspace organized and ready for work.
Follow safety protocols and work with the team to complete warehouse operations.
Help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
