About The Position

Guitar Center’s Seasonal Support serves as the face of the store, greeting customers, identifying their needs, recommending suitable products, and helping close sales. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to nurture musicians and make the joy of creating music accessible to musicians and non-musicians alike, while helping maintain an inclusive, customer-first environment. Successful candidates provide excellent customer service, take initiative, communicate respectfully and clearly, and build their product and sales knowledge through Guitar Center’s certification and continuing education programs. The position also involves helping keep the store ready for business, maintaining product displays, and developing customer relationships to support future service needs.

Requirements

Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
High attention to detail.

Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, such as guitars, drums, and technology products.

Responsibilities

Reach sales targets on services.
Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
Assist with tasks needed to ensure the store is ready to conduct business and serve customers.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
Build relationships with customers to fulfill future service needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
