About The Position

Guitar Center’s Seasonal Support serves as the face of the store, greeting customers, identifying their needs, matching them with suitable products, and helping close sales. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to nurture lifelong musicians and create inclusive, customer-first environments. Successful candidates are customer-focused, take initiative, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and develop product and sales knowledge through Guitar Center’s certification program.

Requirements

Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
High attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, positively, and courteously with diverse individuals and stakeholders.
Ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and follow through on work activities.
Ability to complete the Guitar Center certification program to develop a base understanding of products and sales techniques.

Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, including guitars, drums, and technology.

Responsibilities

Reach sales targets on services.
Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
Help execute tasks to ensure the store is ready to conduct business and serve customers.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
Build customer relationships to support future service needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
