About The Position

As a Seasonal Support employee, you serve as the face of Guitar Center in the store. You greet customers, identify their needs, recommend suitable products, and help close sales. The role also supports service sales, store readiness, inventory displays, and customer relationships. Guitar Center describes its mission as developing and nurturing lifelong musicians and helping people experience the joy of creating music in an inclusive, customer-first environment.

Requirements

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, positively, and courteously with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work through the Guitar Center certification program to develop a base understanding of products and sales techniques.

• Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, such as guitars, drums, and technology products.

Responsibilities

• Reach sales targets on services.
• Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
• Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
• Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
• Assist with tasks needed to keep the store ready for business and customer service.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
• Build customer relationships to fulfill future service needs.
• Handle customer service issues when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
