About The Position

Guitar Center’s Seasonal Support serves as the face of the store, greeting customers, identifying their needs, matching them with appropriate products, and helping close sales. The role supports Guitar Center’s mission to nurture lifelong musicians and create an inclusive environment focused on customers.

Successful candidates demonstrate strong customer focus, initiative, interpersonal communication, and a willingness to learn products and sales techniques through Guitar Center’s certification program. They assist customers throughout the sales process, support store readiness and inventory presentation, and build customer relationships to meet future service needs.

Requirements

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong orientation toward providing excellent customer service.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, positively, and courteously with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to learn quickly and take positive action without being asked.
• Ability to work through Guitar Center’s certification program to develop a foundation in products and sales techniques.

• Intermediate knowledge of musical instruments sold at Guitar Center, such as guitars, drums, and technology products.

Responsibilities

• Reach sales targets on services.
• Demonstrate product and service knowledge to customers.
• Assist customers and guide them through the sales process.
• Continue learning through onboarding, certification, and continuing education.
• Assist with tasks that prepare the store to conduct business and serve customers.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish displays as needed.
• Build relationships with customers to fulfill future service needs.
• Handle customer service issues as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
