As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You understand customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. Through customer engagement and effective selling behaviors, you work toward sales goals, build trust, and encourage customer loyalty. The role includes helping keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting, and involves more than cashiering. At the start of the day, colleagues prepare the sales floor, review sales goals, and learn about new arrivals, popular items, trends, and promotions. During customer interactions, they provide a warm welcome, build personal relationships, and share product information. Throughout the day, they maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new merchandise, processing damages, testers, and selected vendor returns, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as dependable attendance and punctuality. Physical duties include talking, lifting, moving, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. The role also requires frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.
