As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. By using product knowledge and customer engagement, you work toward sales goals, build trust, and encourage customer loyalty. You also help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. During customer interactions, they offer a warm welcome and build friendly, personal relationships. They maintain a shoppable sales floor by merchandising new receipts, processing damages, testers, and selected merchandise returns to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and provide a sincere closing. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and achieving individual and store results. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
