About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-oriented selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services. You engage customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and smart selling behaviors to achieve sales goals, and help build customer trust and loyalty. The role also involves keeping the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. During the day, they build customer relationships through friendly, personal conversations; maintain a shoppable space by merchandising merchandise, processing damages and vendor returns, updating signs and pricing, and assisting with merchandise moves; and share loyalty program benefits while providing a thoughtful customer send-off. They collaborate with teammates, take pride in their work, and strive to improve and achieve individual and store results. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
