As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you blend results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create standout holiday shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. Through product knowledge and a personal approach on the sales floor or in the fitting room, you help create memorable visits, meet sales goals, and build customer trust and loyalty. The role is more than cashiering: it centers on customer service, selling, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, organized, inviting shopping space. At the start of the day, colleagues prepare the sales floor, review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay informed about trends and promotions. During customer interactions, they offer a warm welcome and build friendly, personal relationships. They also maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, returning select merchandise to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and assisting with merchandise moves. Colleagues share loyalty-program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. They support teammates through honesty, care, and collaboration, and work to improve, achieve sales goals, and contribute to individual and store results. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
