Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Crossgates
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked, shop-ready space while supporting the sales team on the floor and behind the scenes. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. This role combines customer service and operational support, requiring attention to detail, hospitality, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled to work 10–20 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful, eager to start a new venture, and adaptable to changing priorities; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations that build customer relationships.
- Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Merchandise new receipts and maintain a shoppable, fully stocked fragrance space.
- Process damages and testers, and select merchandise to return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Assist with transactions and use register technology as needed.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them sincerely.
- Support colleagues through honest, caring, and collaborative teamwork.
- Work toward sales goals, improve performance, and contribute to individual and store results.
