Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, San Francisco Union Square
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the floor. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. The role combines customer service and operational support, requiring you to anticipate team needs, keep the space shop-ready, and help create positive customer experiences during the busy season. Colleagues are expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Daily work includes preparing the sales floor, staying informed about sales goals, new arrivals, best-selling products, trends, and promotions, and welcoming customers with friendly, personal conversations. Colleagues maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, returning select merchandise to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, thank customers sincerely, and collaborate with teammates to achieve individual and store results.
Requirements
- Flexible availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.

- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, customer-ready sales floor.
- Review sales goals and learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations that build customer relationships.
- Merchandise new receipts and keep displays stocked and shoppable.
- Process damages and testers and prepare select merchandise for return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves.
- Assist with transactions and share the benefits of the Loyalty program.
- Support teammates through honest, caring collaboration and work toward sales goals and store results.
