Seasonal Retail Associate
About The Position
The Seasonal Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; process purchases and returns accurately; promote credit and loyalty programs; prepare merchandise for the sales floor; and maintain store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The role also includes participating in shrink-reduction efforts, receiving and providing constructive feedback, complying with labor laws and company policies, and performing other assigned duties. The position is at Homesense Store 0025 in Parsippany, New Jersey. The starting pay range is USD $15.92–$16.42 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
