About The Position

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, Columbia Sportswear Company associates are essential to the business. Retail Associates serve as brand ambassadors and help create exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interaction. They use problem-solving and sales abilities to answer customer questions and make product recommendations while supporting the company’s values of customer service and teamwork. Associates also support the Store Leadership team in advancing the company’s mission of connecting active people with their passions.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Have 2 or fewer years of experience in a position or specialization.
• Have skill operating inventory and point-of-sale systems and other retail software tools.
• Be able to communicate clearly with others.
• Be available to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to consumer questions or issues about product features, benefits, and availability.
• Engage with consumers to understand their needs and preferences, demonstrate and explain merchandise, and suggest suitable options.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety.
• Retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions, including sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program connections, efficiently and accurately.
• Receive, handle, replenish, and process incoming and outgoing product flow accurately and efficiently.
