Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) - Central Staffing Office - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - PRN Nights - Region B
About The Position
Texas Health Central Staffing Office (Intensive Care Unit) is an internal staffing department that provides clinical staffing resources for all Texas Health Resources (THR) hospitals. The Central Staffing Office is broken into particular regions. The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills. This role is for a Seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the Central Staffing Office, primarily working in Region B. The position requires PRN 'as needed' availability, with a requirement to work 36 hours per week. The shift is nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM, and self-scheduling is not permitted. This position is not eligible for Full Time or Part Time benefits.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
- 5 years of experience with three years in the last five years as a Registered Nurse in area of specialty
- Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
- NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 30 days
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
