About The Position

Texas Health Central Staffing Office (Intensive Care Unit) is an internal staffing department that provides clinical staffing resources for all Texas Health Resources (THR) hospitals. The Central Staffing Office is broken into particular regions. The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills. This role is for a Seasonal Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the Central Staffing Office, primarily working in Region A. The position requires availability for PRN 'as needed' shifts, with a requirement to work 36 hours per week on nights (7 PM-7 AM). This position is not eligible for Full Time or Part Time benefits.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
  • 5 years of experience with three years in the last five years as a Registered Nurse in area of specialty Required
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire Required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire Required
  • NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days Required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
