About The Position
HomeGoods associates deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. They follow operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates also contribute to a positive store culture, store recovery, safety awareness, and shrink reduction.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.

Responsibilities
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
