About The Position

HomeGoods seasonal part-time associates deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store. They follow operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates uphold customer-experience principles and a positive store culture, process purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, prepare and merchandise products, recover and maintain the sales floor, support shrink-reduction and safety programs, and perform other assigned duties. The position is located at HomeGoods Store 0320, 55 Route 9 Suite 200, Manalapan, New Jersey. The starting pay range is USD $15.92 to $16.42 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
• Model customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
