About The Position

The Seasonal Morning Stock Associate supports Five Below’s store operations by delivering customer service and helping maintain well-stocked, organized merchandise. The role involves assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, promoting events and offers, addressing customer concerns, communicating store needs to management, and contributing to team and company goals. The position requires flexible scheduling, including day, evening, weekend, and potentially overnight shifts, as business needs require.

Requirements

At least 16 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts as business needs require.
Comfortable using or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld devices, and mobile devices.
Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
Able to handle customer interactions and potential concerns courteously and professionally.
Able to use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Able to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
Able to identify and understand email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Able to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5 to 10 feet.
Able to frequently climb and descend ladders, kneel, bend, twist, stoop, and move around the sales floor and stock room.
Able to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers, in person and by telephone.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers promptly, including handling multiple customer interactions efficiently.
Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and making recommendations.
Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer concerns and offer alternative solutions, seeking to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
Communicate merchandise restocking and service needs, along with customer feedback, to management in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company goals and support a positive, productive work environment.
Operate the cash register and support merchandise stocking and organization.
