About The Position

The Seasonal Gifts Associate performs selling and customer-service activities to provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience. The role involves greeting and assisting customers, demonstrating products, sharing product knowledge, maintaining merchandise and pricing, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The associate also supports seasonal merchandise moves, restocking, and a clean, well-stocked work area while following company policies and procedures.

This is a seasonal, part-time position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. The posting advertises a National Hiring Event on October 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Bass Pro Shops in Warren, Ohio; applicants may interview for various positions at the event.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Support a strong commitment to customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products and remain knowledgeable through ongoing product training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Remain knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
