About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, keeping the work area clean and supplied, and following company policies and procedures.

The Sales Outfitter assists customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision, follows established procedures, and may use occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly, and helpful customer service to create a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers and maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
