About The Position

The Gifts Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. The Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and help create a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customers' needs and recommend products accordingly.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
