Seasonal Fulfillment Associate, China Grove - Part Time (Saturday & Sunday)
About The Position
As a Warehouse Colleague, you will help create a seamless, customer-focused experience by receiving, storing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping merchandise. You will handle items carefully, support on-time delivery, and help keep the warehouse clean, organized, safe, and running smoothly. The role also emphasizes teamwork, respectful communication, and a positive, inclusive workplace. This is a seasonal, part-time position in China Grove, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Requirements
- No education or experience required.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
- Proficiency using computers and handheld technology.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, up to 12 hours excluding breaks.
- Ability to frequently use computers and handheld electronic equipment.
- Ability to reach above eye level, crouch, kneel, stoop, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to hear and see safety and emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck (PIT) warning devices.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload cartons and merchandise from delivery trucks, conveyor systems, and other equipment.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull packages continuously and repetitively while sorting and organizing merchandise.
- Complete processing, receiving, and shipping activities on time and in accordance with productivity standards.
- Use PCs, handheld computers, radio frequency equipment, and other devices to input data accurately and operate warehouse and proprietary systems.
- Perform job functions safely and promptly report accidents or safety hazards.
- Prepare for each shift by following the dress code, attending start-ups, checking the work area, and staying informed about daily goals.
- Work quickly and accurately, handle merchandise with care, and pack customer orders neatly.
- Support coworkers, welcome new teammates, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- At the end of the shift, tidy the workstation, return equipment, replenish supplies, and recognize coworkers who contributed to the day's work.
