About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Seasonal Front Desk Associate to welcome pet parents and pets at its Jacksonville Airport resort. The role supports a positive guest experience by managing front desk transactions and communications while also helping with pet handling and resort upkeep. The position involves substantial physical activity, including walking and handling pets, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Scheduling must accommodate resort needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Requirements

One to two years of experience in a customer service role, such as customer service, call center, or receptionist work.
Ability to work with attention to detail and a sense of urgency while providing exceptional customer service.
Cheerful, friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, especially in documentation.
Problem-solving ability and interest in providing guests and customers with a premier experience.
Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to perform physical labor, including pet handling, walking, and standing for long periods.
Schedule flexibility to meet resort needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

Welcome pet parents and pets as they enter the resort.
Organize and process guest check-ins and check-outs.
Walk pets during drop-off and pickup, coordinate suite placement, and ensure guest needs are met.
Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemails, and reply to emails in a timely, problem-solving manner.
Complete cashier and point-of-sale operations.
Communicate with pet parents and resort leadership and follow through on requests.
Maintain the cleanliness of the entranceway, lobby, and restrooms.
Maintain, clean, and support the cat room according to resort routines.
Liaise with the veterinary service team regarding veterinary appointment status and arrivals.
Put on and remove pet harnesses at check-in and check-out, with familiarity across different harness types.
Ensure suites are set up for each pet.
