About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Front Desk Associate to welcome pet parents and their pets at its Charlotte Airport resort and help provide a positive, attentive guest experience. The role combines customer service and front-desk tasks with hands-on pet care, including assisting with arrivals and departures, walking pets, coordinating suite placement, and helping prepare suites. Associates also handle communications, cashier and point-of-sale operations, and requests from pet parents and resort leadership.

The position includes maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby and entrance, supporting the cat room according to resort routines, and coordinating with the veterinary service team about appointments and arrivals. It requires working around dogs of all sizes and performing physical tasks such as handling and walking pets, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Schedule flexibility is needed for days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Pet Paradise describes its business as a full-service pet care destination offering day camp, grooming, veterinary care, and overnight boarding. The company has locations in ten states and more than 60 locations in operation or under development.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in a customer service role, such as customer service, call center, or receptionist work.
• Ability to work with attention to detail and a sense of urgency while providing exceptional customer service.
• Cheerful, friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail, especially with documentation.
• Problem-solving skills and an interest in providing guests and customers with a premier experience.
• Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including handling and walking pets and standing for long periods.
• Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

• Welcome pet parents and their pets as they enter the resort, providing a friendly first interaction.
• Organize and process guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Walk pets during drop-off and pickup and coordinate suite placement while ensuring their needs are met.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to voicemails, and reply to emails in a timely, problem-solving manner.
• Complete cashier and point-of-sale operations.
• Communicate and follow through on requests from pet parents and resort leadership.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the entranceway and lobby, including restrooms.
• Maintain, clean, and support the cat room according to resort routines.
• Liaise with the veterinary service team regarding appointment status and arrivals.
• Put harnesses on and take them off during check-in and check-out, and be familiar with different types of harnesses.
• Ensure suites are set up for each pet.
