About The Position

The Seasonal Early Morning/Overnight Stocking role supports store operations by assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, promoting store events and promotions, resolving customer concerns, and communicating restocking and service needs to management. The associate works with the team to contribute to store and company goals and a positive work environment. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old.
Be available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts.
Be comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as computers, cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices.
Communicate effectively and engage with customers.
Handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
Identify and understand email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5 to 10 feet.
Frequently climb and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers, in person and by telephone.
Frequently move across the sales floor and between the sales floor and stock room.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and assist multiple customers efficiently.
Assess customer needs, share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations.
Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer concerns and offer alternative solutions, seeking to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
Communicate merchandise restocking needs, service requirements, and customer feedback to management.
Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and support a positive, productive work environment.
Retrieve and put away stock and assist customers across the sales floor.
