About The Position

The Early Morning/Overnight Stocking role supports Five Below’s store operations by assisting customers, promoting products and store events, addressing customer concerns, and helping the team meet store and company goals. The position involves restocking merchandise, communicating needs and customer feedback to management, and working a flexible schedule that may include overnight shifts. It requires frequent use of store technology, movement of merchandise, ladder use, and physical activity on the sales floor and in the stock room.

Requirements

At least 16 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts.
Comfortable using or willing to learn technology such as computers, cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices.
Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
Ability to handle customer interactions and concerns courteously and professionally.
Ability to use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
Frequently operate a cash register, computer, hand-held device, phone, walkie, and mobile device.
Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or remove merchandise at heights of 5–10 feet.
Frequently climb and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers, both in person and by telephone.
Frequently move across the sales floor and between the sales floor and stock room.
Identify and understand email and printed instructions about merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers promptly, including managing multiple customer interactions efficiently.
Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer concerns and offer solutions, including turning returns into exchanges when possible.
Inform management about restocking needs, service requirements, and customer feedback.
Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
Retrieve, put away, and move merchandise between the stock room and sales floor.
