About The Position

The Cosmetics Beauty Advisor provides excellent customer service and product knowledge while selling Bloomingdale’s assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, providing make-up application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and offering current trend advice. The advisor maintains compelling merchandise presentation, contributes to merchandising and operational requirements, and creates an engaging sales-floor experience that puts customers’ needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience; cosmetics experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
May need to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
