About The Position

Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Advisors provide excellent service and sell the full assortment in store and online. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Beauty Advisors provide makeup application lessons, skin care consultations and treatments, and current trend advice. They are welcoming, friendly, and engaged, keep energy alive on the sales floor, and put customer needs first.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous selling experience.
Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; and distinguish colors.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.

Nice To Haves

Previous selling experience in cosmetics is preferred.
